The Iowa Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Chapter Members' E-mail List (The List) is sponsored by the Iowa SHRM State Council, and has been in continuous operation since 1997. List submissions are not endorsed by, nor are they representations of the beliefs of, the Council. Postings are solely the expressions and opinions of their authors. The List invites general discussion surrounding topics of importance and interest to human resource professionals in the state of Iowa. We hope that you will find the discussion lively and interesting, and that you'll join in as soon as you feel comfortable. To contribute, simply e-mail your message to: iashrm@list.iashrm.org After review by our Moderator, all subscribers to The List will receive, and be able to respond to your message. Though monitoring of submissions may slow posting to The List, the practice relieves subscribers of many unwanted messages, i.e. auto-responders - "X is out of the office today, but will return Monday morning..." -LIST POLICY- Please, list subscriptions are limited to local and/or national SHRM members residing in the state of Iowa. THE ADDRESS YOU SUBSCRIBE MUST HAVE A 24 HOUR-A-DAY, SEVEN DAY A WEEK CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET! Our server will automatically unsubscribe addresses with bouncing mail. If you lack a 24x7 E-mail address, you may wish to visit Microsoft Live, Google, or Yahoo for a free web-based account. When posting to The List, remember that your submission will be seen by 400 people, therefore, we can not guarantee confidentiality. The List does not allow solicitation of subscribers in postings, since we are reliant upon advertising revenue to finance our Internet costs. If a message you compose includes a solicitation, don't be surprised if we solicit you for an ad! We invite and welcome the following forms of advertising (all pricing is monthly and is subject to change as our services grow): 1. HR JOBS WANTED - Any SHRM national and/or local member in the state of Iowa, who is personally searching for a job, is welcome to post a FREE ad. Simply send it to the address below. Please indicate if you would like the ad open or blind. If your preference is blind, we will solicit responses and forward them to you. 2. HR JOBS OPEN - Anyone is invited to advertise their HR job openings to our subscribers. The ad will be sent once to all list subscribers and then posted to the IASHRM web site for 30 days. The cost for this service is presently $80.00 per job. This is a great way to reach 400 HR professionals in the state of Iowa. Simply send your ad to the address below, along with billing information. Invoices will be sent in an electronically printable format unless the advertiser requests differently. 3. IASHRM WEB SITE BANNER ADS - Placed on the front page at http://iashrm.org... invite web surfers to click through to your company's web site. Currently we are getting about 15 to 20 hits per day. $50.00 per month 4. E-MAIL LIST TEXT BANNER ADS - Placed at the bottom of every posting to The List during a seven day period... maximum five lines of text. We presently have 400 subscribers, getting 3-5 postings per week. $20.00 per week. The funds earned through advertising are applied to Internet server costs and to further enhancement of our technological capabilities. Please support our advertisers. To post a message to all the list members, send email to iashrm@list.iashrm.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to iashrm
Subscribe to iashrm by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
