RUAN is both a cornerstone business in downtown Des Moines and a
growth-oriented national transportation provider with over 4,000 employees
at over 100 locations. 

Sr. Human Resources Representative
Des Moines, IA - Corporate Office

The primary purpose of this position is to perform professional level Human
Resources responsibilities in support of both corporate and field locations.
Responsibilities of this position include:

1. Recruit for both corporate and field positions including both exempt and
non-exempt positions.

2. Counsel employees and management on the interpretation and implementation
of HR policies, programs and procedures.

3. Analyze and provide counsel to management on methods and approaches to
resolve employee work problems and concerns. 

4. Resolve complex and sensitive employee situations and complaints and
conduct investigations and interviews as appropriate. 

5. Administer unemployment process.

Additional duties involve training, employee benefits support, compensation,
communications, compliance, research and analysis.

 

Requirements for this important position include:

-3 years of generalist experience with a preference for 5 or more years of
experience

-Proven experience and strength in recruiting and employee relations
activities

-Positive and professional attitude and manner in dealing with external
contacts and internal employees at all levels of the organization (oral,
written and interpersonal communication)

-Bilingual skills preferred

-Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task

-Able to travel as needed in support of various HR activities including
benefit presentations, recruiting activities and investigations, etc

-Excellent computer software skills including Microsoft Office
