[IASHRM] Bonus Payouts (On behalf of Jill Criss)

Ours states that you have to be employed and in an active status at the time the payment is made.  Anyone on an approved leave at the time of payment would receive the payment once they returned to active status.

  I'm doing an informal survey to see how your policy is written on bonus payouts.  While our bonuses are based on successful completion of goals completed January through December every year, our payout is not until March of the following year.  Our policy states that you have to be employed on the date of PAYOUT to receive the bonus.  Do others' do it similarly?  Or, does your policy state only that you have to be employed on December 31st (or whatever the date is that the goal is achieved)?
