Will you please share your Bereavement Leave policy? I am specifically
interested in addressing common law marriage and extended family.
Currently our policy states "immediate family members" and we may expand
this.

"immediate family for bereavement leave shall
consist of the employee’s father, mother, or stepfather or stepmother, if
the employee was raised by the stepparent. The other immediate family
members are, grandmother, grandfather, present wife, present husband,
brother, sister, child (including foster or stepchild), grandchild,
present mother-in-law, present father-in-law, present son-in-law, present
daughter-in-law, and the brother or sister of present spouse".

Thanks for your help.
