Russ,
We are a manufacturing company that operates 24/7. Our exempt level
employees work until the job or assigned task is completed. We do not
provide additional compensation for hours worked outside of core designated
hours.
That being said, our exempt level employees do have some flexibility if they
need to adjust their schedules. Usually this adjustment is made with
supervisory approval.
Hope this information helps.

Subject: [IASHRM] Hour Worked For Exempt Employees
I would like know how others treat a work week for exempt employees who
occasionally work longer than normal days during a week.
For example, attendance at meetings or client visits that might occasionally
require a 12 hour work day?
Is consideration given during other days of the week or how do you handle
it?
Thanks!
