Human Resources Director



Position Description:


The Human Resources Director coordinates the overall provision of Human
Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. The major
areas coordinated are:

*	recruiting and staffing; 
*	performance management and improvement systems; 
*	organization development; 
*	employment and compliance to regulatory concerns; 
*	employee orientation, development, and training; 
*	policy development and documentation; 
*	employee relations; 
*	company employee communication; 
*	compensation and benefits administration; 
*	employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; 
*	employee services and counseling.
*	Accurate and timely payroll

The Human Resources Director assists in originating and leading Human
Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented,
high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity
and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development
of a superior workforce.

The Human Resources Director coordinates implementation of services,
policies, and programs and reports to the CFO and assists and advises
company managers about Human Resources issues.


Primary Objectives:


*	Safety of the workforce. 
*	Development of a superior workforce. 
*	Development of the Human Resources and Payroll department
*	Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes
quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. 
*	Personal ongoing development

 


Specific Responsibilities:


     


*         Assist in the processing of an accurate and timely weekly payroll.


*         Maintain complete and accurate records for present, past, and
potential employees


*         Administration of all employee benefit programs


*         Development of hiring procedures and practices as well as a new
employee orientation program complete with proper training.


*         Assist with consolidation of Human Resource and Payroll functions
of Des Moines and Council Bluffs location through the Des Moines office.


*         Formalize and administer Workers Compensation program


*         Work with department managers to create detailed job descriptions
along with essential functions and required experience.


*         Enhance and utilize the tools available in our Payroll and Human
Resources software packages


*         Automate, streamline, document and improve upon the current
payroll process


*         Development of compensation and benefit reporting to be utilized
by management


*         Assist CFO with projects as assigned


 


Basic Qualifications


 


BS/BA degree in HR or related field


Display general understanding of the various HR related disciplines, to
include, but not limited to - Staffing, Employee Relations, Benefits,
Payroll, and Employee Safety.
