We provide up to $1500 per year.  Below is our policy.

 GUIDELINES:

1.	Eligibility:  An employee must have completed the equivalent of
six months full-time work (1,000 hours) prior to application and be
currently working a minimum of 40 hours per payperiod to be eligible.  	

2.	Application Process:  An employee must complete the application
for participation and have it approved by Human Resources prior to
taking the course.  

3.	The course or courses selected must be related to his/her
present position, or a position to which the employee can reasonably
aspire within MercyCare Community Physicians.

4.	A course, eligible for approval, must be offered by an
accredited educational institution and must provide hours of credit
toward the award of a degree.  (This excludes short term seminars, CEU
classes and professional association meetings, and professional dues)

5.	Proof of a C- or above grade(s) and copy of the tuition payment
receipt must be submitted to the Human Resources Department before
tuition assistance is paid.  

6.	Yearly tuition allowance is determined by the year in which the
reimbursement is issued.  

7.	Reimbursement amounts:

a.	68-80 hours per payperiod		100% reimbursement
b.	40-67 hours per payperiod		50% reimbursement


8.	A $1,500 calendar year limit is applicable for employees.
Unused funds do not accumulate, as each year is separate.
