Lori,
Our call center employees do not have access to internet at their desk
as it causes problems with some of our software.  We installed 3
computers for approximately 75 people to share during breaks and
lunches.  The employees love the computers and they are always full at
breaks and lunches.  3 computers seems just to be enough for our size
group.  We have a comprehensive IT policy explaining what is not
acceptable use of the internet and the consequences of violations, so we
have not had issues with employees visiting inappropriate sites.  Our IT
department also uses blocking software to block inappropriate sites. We
have also held educational meetings about professional use of internet,
e-mail, cell phones, etc. to set expectations.
