Our employees are partially benefits eligible if they work 40-59 hours
per pay period (two week time frame) and fully benefits eligible if they
work 60-80 hours per pay period. The monthly premiums are significantly
higher if you are partially benefits eligible rather than fully benefits
eligible. If you are benefits eligible you may choose insurance for
Employee, Employee +1 (which would be a spouse or one child) or Family,
the rates differ depending on the plan you choose. We also offer a wrap
plan. The wrap plan is designed for those who have coverage elsewhere
but desire to supplement that coverage with an additional plan of
benefits at a "low price". The wrap plan will cover the deductible and
co-insurance from the primary medical plan up to $1,000 per person per
calendar year. I guess that would be an incentive to utilize the
spouses' insurance as primary coverage, however we do not mandate that.
