[IASHRM] PTO policy

Hi Rachel,

I spent a good deal of time in March/April writing policy, meeting with supervisors/employees, and collaborating with ADP (our time/payroll vendor) to implement the attached PTO policy, which we now have fully implemented.

I will tell ya, getting to today was a major HR project!!!  So far... everyone LOVES it :-)

We are considering combining our vacation, sick pay, and personal days into one PTO policy.  As we draft this new plan many questions have come up: do we impose a cap or max accrual, at termination do we pay out the entire balance or just a percentage, do you allow someone to go "in the hole" if they've used all PTO but get sick and can't work, etc.  If you're willing to discuss your company's PTO experiences or provide a copy of your policy it would be greatly appreciated.
